I took a walk around the world to Ease my troubled mind

I left my body laying somewhere In the sands of time

I watched the world float to the dark Side of the moon

I feel there is nothing I can do, yeah

I watched the world float to the Dark side of the moon

After all I knew it had to be something To do with you

I really don't mind what happens now and then

As long as you'll be my friend at the end

If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman

If I'm alive and well, will you be There holding my hand

I'll keep you by my side with My superhuman might

Kryptonite

You called me strong, you called me weak

But still your secrets I will keep

You took for granted all the times I Never let you down

You stumbled in and bumped your head, if Not for me then you would be dead

I picked you up and put you back On solid ground

If I go crazy then will you still Call me Superman

If I'm alive and well will you be There holding my hand

I'll keep you by my side with my Superhuman might

Kryptonite

As I mentioned in the title if you are expecting some sense out of this post you aint gonna find any. This blog is supposed to be a collection of random events and if anyone can come up with an algorithm to disprove the randomness of this event by predicting a pattern then i will try to come up with a better explanation. This song's lyrics has been in my head for a long time now. Yo varun i guess u can see to the extent this song has driven. For all those wondering about the song, Youtube.

P.S: After the crazy time and at a sane moment it struck me that this has been the fastest post of mine. The whole action of deciding to put up this post and connecting to the internet and copy pasting the lyrics and then typing out the few lines at the end took less than 2 minutes.

Devil's Smile

The darkness faded into light and,
The sun's first rays hit the earth,
Filling the air with ill luck and evil,
It was going to be one of those days....

He woke up to the realization, that
He was now 'a victim of humanity',
A victim, to the inherent dishonesty and thievery in humans,
consequential of evolution from predators.
Bereaved of his precious,
By an act of insidious and defenseless violence,
He rose in anger only to find that he was incapacitated of a response.
Disappointment and disgust seeped into his blood,
As he digested the death of morality and the helpless situation.
Confusion and chaos followed through out the day,
And "learned helplessness" was consuming him like the 'Hollywood' quick sand.
After all what power does a mortal hold,
when the devil chooses to smile upon him?

Mother's Love

As i start writing this post i have to admit that last week has been very eventful. First the relief that all the exams went well, then that beautiful moment that inspired me to write the poem, and then the best of all, a book that was just mindblowing!

Mothers, Mothers are some of the most important and most selfless people in the world. A few days ago, I read a post in one of my friend's blog , she had noted that she was really happy when an old friend called her up after a long absence. And it struck me, how comforting it is to know, that someone cares for us,that we are important to someone. Be it a friend, a relative, or even a stranger it is always takes us one step higher. Infact we would not have been who we are, without atleast one person who cared for us. Then i thought, who is the one person who cares about me the most? Even before the question ended the answer was there. My mother. Ever moment i have lived, she has always been there, moulding me, showing me the road ahead and solving my problems.

Coming back to this book that i read, it is titled "For one more day" by Mitch Albom. It is centred around the tragic life of a baseball player, who loses everything he had, his baseball career, his wife, his family. With nothing to live for he decides to Kill himself and decides to do it at his home town and their childhood house. As he drives towards death, he meets with an accident on the highway. Now, something miraculous happens. In what was supposed to be the last few moments on this earth, suddenly out of the blue he sees his dead mother! He has been given "one more day" with a person who hasnt stopped loving him even after dying! From this moment it is all magic as she fills his heart with inspiration and changes his life. Any further description of the book from my part will be a disgrace to the author as it is so beautifull, to explain it from only my point of view.

This book is extremley inspirational and very touching. Please do not miss something so good. When you finish reading this book, in that emotional moment, think about the gift you have had all this while, the unconditional love that you have been showered with, all through your life. Spare a moment and thank your Mom for everyrthing.

Ultimate fantasy

Today i was suddenly reminded about the poem "ode on a grecian urn" by Jhon keats, my favourite poem of the few i have read. He says,

"Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter"

This line makes us think how an impossibility or a thing of imagination gives us so much more pleasure or pain. Be it excitement or dissapointment, a fantasy brings to us more of these emotion than a reality beacuse the excitement is limited only by the horizon of our imagination and we never reach that far... And then i thought about my Ultimate fantasy, one thing that i would die for, and I was suddenly inspired to write a poem about it. So here it goes..

It was a cold and clear morning

Serene and clam except for the rhythmic breeze,

The world looked small and the horizon a few inches away

A few quick steps and I took off from the rooftop

As the morning sky beckoned me towards the orange horizon

An inexplicable emotion took over, a sense of freedom,

The pleasure of defying gravity, a sense of weightlessness,

Like a feather floating in the air, the next moment

As I looked down, I saw the brown earth

Approaching me hard and fast,

My lips curled into a wry smile as I realized that,

Poor humans can't fly...

I have no idea why ended it like this. Maybe because i love irony or maybe to reinforce myself that i still know some physics :P or for watever reason. But thus ends my Ultimate fantasy today. But one day i hope to fly.. atleast in my fantasy.

The first Post

Hello everybody. Today enters a new soul into the world of blogging, eager to share my views with the like minded. Writing has intrigued me always and for a long i havent been writing anything. I felt like starting a blog so that i can express my views as well as enjoy writing. Since this is my frist post, i was wondering on what to write about. Finally i decided to write about this interesting movie that i watched recently. so here it goes...

What the "@#$% (censored)" do we know??

This movie is a documentary explaning the works of some scientist and philosophers. Here they try to putforth a theory that proves the existence of the "GOD" or to prove that there is something extraordinary happening around us, with the help of quantum physics. The documentation of their views in the movie is brilliant. By applying the difficult and intriguing concepts of quantum physics they have made the understanding of these concepts as simple as possible.
The following text is a small review and my personal view about the film.
The film is based on the life of a photographer and the things that she does in her everyday life. A group of scientist and philosophers analyse the various incidents that happen during the day and give a scientific explanation for them. The basic argument in the film is that the world is an illusion created by the mind. To prove this the scientists use the famous Heisenberg's uncertainity principle from quantum mechanics, which simply says "An electron can exist in more than one place simultaneously". The very statement is shocking and unbelievable but if we are to justify all the years that we spent in our school learning science then we have no other choice but to accept this amazing fact. Thus the movie argues that things at the atomic level are uncertain. Our body, the tables, bluidings, grass, trees and everything that we see are made of atoms and electrons, and the position of these electrons are uncertain ie, that can exist anywhere simultaneously and not only where we see the object. So what we see is just one outcome out of millions of possible outcomes. And thus if we can control our brain to see what we wish to see, then we create our world. The film also gives an excellent explanation of how our brain works. I was amazed about the way the brain functions and the way it stores information. I guess for humans to create a memory disk like the brain it would be impossible. I would suggest you all watch this film as it brings to you hundreds of amazing and unanswerable questions that will keep you wondering for a long time. The link for the film is http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8655881191636417153&q=What+the+bleep+do+we+know&hl=en

So watch the movie and have fun!
